Local Outreach
Our church believes working in the community is essential to proclaiming the gospel. Below are several ministries our congregation is involved in supporting both financially and physically.
Reformed University Fellowship
Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at University of Maryland (UMD) is a campus ministry that reaches college students from all backgrounds with the hope of Jesus Christ. College is a time when beliefs are explored, decisions are made, and lives are changed. We invite students into authentic relationships and the study of God’s Word. Through the ministry of RUF, students discover the love of Christ, find their significance in God’s redemptive story, and engage in the life of His church. We support Ryan Bratt at UMD. For more information on RUF and UMD, please go to this link RUF – UMD – Ryan Bratt.
Laurel Pregnancy Center
The Laurel Pregnancy Center (LPC) is a local Christian ministry offering various services, including pregnancy confirmation, care coach support, after-abortion care, parenting classes, and material assistance. For more information, please visit their website, Laurel Pregnancy Center.

Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services
Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services (LARS) works with individuals in need of food, housing, and financial assistance to achieve well-being, stability, and self-sufficiency. For more information, please visit their website at LARS.

Laurel Winter Shelter
Each winter, our church, along with about 20 other churches in the Laurel area, partner together with LARS to provide shelter and food to the homeless in the area. In the early 1990s, churches in the area began partnering together to provide this service, and it has continued annually since then. The winter shelter provides food and shelter to over 100 men and women annually. The shelter generally opens sometime during the last two weeks in November and continues through the coldest part of the winter until mid-March.
