Sterling was born in Norfolk, VA and grew up in Washington D.C. He and his wife Jasmine live in Laurel, Maryland and have three little girls, Victoria, Chloe and Scarlet. Currently, he works for the state of Maryland in the housing development department as a construction project manager. He is a graduate of DeVry and holds a dual master’s degree in business and project management from Keller Graduate School.
Sterling is also a student of Reformed Theological Seminary to obtain a Master of Divinity. He has a passion to teach historic Reformed theology. He serves at Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church as a pastoral intern. After graduation he desires to continue in ministry as a pastor-teacher in the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) on a full-time basis.
His past work and service in Gospel Ministry includes:
- 13 years at the Prayer Temple Apostolic Church in Washington, D.C. as an elder, Sunday School Superintendent, and Assistant Pastor.
- 5 years at Mclean Bible Church in Mclean, Virginia in a community group as a social coordinator, leader, and Bible teacher.
- 3 years as a community group leader, Bible teacher and elder candidate at Hope Bible Church in Columbia, Maryland.
We are glad to have Sterling serving as a Ministerial Intern with us at Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church and look forward to God working with and through him to bless us and others.
